Terms & Conditions for a Consultation with Helix Homeopathy

By booking a consultation with Helix Homeopathy you agree to the terms listed below.

​

Helix Homeopathy provides a platform for you to meet a homeopath available to help you. Please check you are happy with all of the details before you proceed with a consultation. Helix Homeopathy holds no liability. 

​

Homeopathy alongside mainstream healthcare: 
Homeopathy works well alongside mainstream healthcare programmes and medications.  You will not be asked to come off prescribed medications during your treatment.  You may be advised to go for additional health checks to see if your medications are still required.

​

Homeopathy is not meant to be used instead of Accident and Emergency Care:
If you need emergency health care please contact your Doctor or Emergency Services.

​

Emergency Service:
Helix Homeopathy cannot provide an emergency service. If you need emergency care please contact your nearest emergency services.

​

Booking:
This consent form will cover the entire course of your treatment with Helix Homeopathy.

​

You confirm that you have made this appointment in good faith and that you have the ability to accept or reject this care of your own free will and choice, and are mentally competent to enter into this agreement.

​

You acknowledge that you are not representing an agency (private, governmental or otherwise) attempting to gather information without so stating [ie. you are not a journalistic reporter posing as a client].

​

You understand the charges are to be paid on booking the consultation unless specific prior arrangements have been made or there is no charge.

​

You will ensure that any photos or videos you send will not show nudity of private parts of the body of adults or children.

​

You consent to the homeopath holding secure records and personal information/disclosures that include any information you send & disclosures you make during appointments.

​

Payment:
When the details contained in these terms are agreed by both parties, the homeopath will accept payment for the consultation.

​

The Consultation:
The Consultation will take place at the time indicated if not immediately. You will choose between:

A video consult
A telephone consult

​

You may be asked for photographs to see skin complaints, or copies of relevant medical tests and results. 

​

Everything discussed at each consultation is confidential and will not be discussed with anyone other than an appointed homeopathic supervisor unless we have your specific instruction to discuss your information with other health professionals. 

​

Pharmacy:
You will be sent a prescription recommendation for your remedies after your consultation. You will be sent details of where to purchase them if you do not already have the remedies yourself.  

​

Confidentiality : 
Helix Homeopathy will not share your details. The homeopath you consult with will keep their records in accordance with their licensing laws.


Consultations will not be recorded without your express permission. If recorded, the recording will be held in a secure unit according to the Data Protection act. The recording will never be used in the public domain without your express permission.


You can ask for a copy of the recorded conversation but please be aware that we will not be responsible for the security of the email service.

Health Notes:
UK homeopaths are required by law to keep your consultation notes for 7 years. These notes will not be shared with anyone apart from the appointed homeopathic supervisor unless the law requires us to submit information for the protection of life.

Health Notes: Subject Access Request

Patients registered with Helix Homeopathy are entitled to request access to the information that is held by it. The request needs to be received in the form of a written request to Helix Homeopathy.

 

On receipt of the request, the request will be formally acknowledged and dealt with within 14 days unless there is reasonable doubt as to the authenticity of the request necessitating further investigation or there are exceptional circumstances as to why the request cannot be granted.  Helix Homeopathy will provide a written response detailing all information held on the individual.  A record shall be kept of the date of the request and the date of the response.

Emails:
When you book a consultation using this service, your name and details will be added to our database so that we can send you the prescription.


You can opt out of receiving details about our services, news and courses and about learning more about homeopathy.  You can choose to unsubscribe at any time. 

​

Code of Conduct:
We abide by the Code of Conduct set out by the Society of Homeopaths in the UK.

​

Technology:
With the use of internet, video calls, messenger, emails or telephone calls, every reasonable precaution possible will be taken to ensure the privacy of your information, but it cannot be guaranteed across these technologies.

​

Follow Up Consultations: 
This will be discussed with your homeopath to ensure the best way forward.

​

Governing Law and jurisdiction

This Agreement and any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with it (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Any legal action or proceeding arising under this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the courts of the United Kingdom, and both parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.
